Congratulations to our friends up at Bright Green Plastics on their new sorting line and for reinvesting in the UK’s plastic reprocessing industry.
In a piece to industry commentators letsrecycle.com, Steve Spencer, managing director at Bright Green Plastics, said: “This investment will reduce the core costs within our business, however, we are also excited by the fact it will create more jobs in an area, whilst boosting the UK plastic reprocessing industry – which has been badly affected by COVID19, by creating more recycling capacity”.
Newport Recycling and Bright Green Plastics have a long-standing relationship, and we look forward to the new opportunities that this new equipment will bring. Bright Green currently processes 40,000 tonnes of plastics each year and this new equipment will enable them to improve their processing time and also allow for a larger scope and volume of recyclables.
Well done to everyone involved.
