Newport Recycling is pleased to announce that Managing Director Dawn Tyrer has been officially elected to the Council of The Recycling Association (TRA) following the organisation’s AGM.
Dawn joins the governing Council alongside Sarah Sanpher-McDowell from Clearpoint and Agnieszka Pychowska from Panda, with members voting on appointments during the AGM.
As part of her new role, Dawn will represent the plastics recycling division within the Council, contributing to wider industry discussions around compliance, legislation, material quality, logistics and market challenges affecting the plastics sector.
The Recycling Association Council plays an important role in helping shape the industry’s response to key issues, working closely with members and stakeholders to support practical, transparent and commercially sustainable recycling practices across the UK.
Dawn’s appointment also reflects Newport Recycling’s continued growth and involvement within plastics recycling, alongside the company’s long-established presence across paper and wider recyclable materials markets.
Speaking about the appointment, Dawn said:

Dawn has been part of Newport Recycling for the past eight years and has played a key role in strengthening long-term relationships across the recycling sector through a practical and transparent approach to material trading and customer partnerships.
Her election to the Council further reinforces Newport Recycling’s commitment to supporting high standards, strong industry relationships and positive collaboration across the recycling supply chain.
