Newport Recycling is excited to announce key leadership changes that will position the company for continued growth and innovation in the recycling and waste industry.

Dawn Tyrer has been appointed Managing Director, effective 1st April 2026. Since joining Newport in 2018, Dawn has been instrumental in advancing the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and environmental responsibility. With 29 years of leadership experience, she brings a proven track record of driving operational excellence and strategic growth.

Tracey Hamer will take on the role of Head of Commercial. With over 25 years in the Recycling and Waste sector -nine of which as Newport’s Commercial Manager- Tracey’s expertise will ensure the company continues to provide partners with reliable, competitive, and high-quality services, supporting Newport’s vision for sustainable, long-term growth.

These appointments coincide with a strategic restructuring that will allow current Managing Director Matthew Hoare to focus on special projects and new ventures. As the son of Newport founder Ashley Hoare, Matthew will continue to actively guide the business as Chairman, ensuring the company’s enduring identity as a family-run enterprise. “This marks an exciting new chapter for Newport Recycling,” said Matthew Hoare. “With Dawn and Tracey stepping into these key roles, we are perfectly positioned to combine our family values with innovative thinking, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to sustainability.”

Newport Recycling remains dedicated to delivering exceptional service to all its partners while continuing to innovate in environmental stewardship and recycling solutions.
